I graduated from Moscow State University (Geochemistry Department) in 1997. The subject of my diploma thesis was "Experimental study of stibnite solubility and forms of antimony transport in the gaseous phase of low temperature hydrothermal systems". The main method used involve the solubility autoclave experiments and gravimetry. The aim of the work was to obtain the thermodynamic information for stibnite solubility in gaseous hydrogen sulfide solutions from 200 to 320oC. I continued working in the Laboratory of Experimental Geochemistry (Geological Faculty, Moscow State University, Russia) until May 1998.
I have been a doctoral student at the Institute of Mineralogy and Petrography at the ETH Zurich since June 1, 1998. The subject of my work is aqueous chemistry of arsenic and antimony at elevated temperatures and their sulphides. One part of my project has been finished. This study focussed on the determination of ionization constants of H3AsO3 and H3SbO3 from 25 to 300oC by means of high temperature, flow-through UV spectrophotometry.
