Academic History:

I graduated from Moscow State University (Geochemistry Department) with Honours in 2002, where I specialized in Environmental Geochemistry. In my final year I did my Diploma research in the Laboratory of Experimental Geochemistry in MSU. The topic of my Diploma thesis was “Experimental study of migration and aspects of environmental geochemistry of mercury”.

I began my Ph.D. project with Prof. Terry Seward in November 2002. My research will focus on the behavior of molybdenum and tungsten compounds in hydrothermal solutions, using UV spectrophotometry as the principle method.
